With new features such as reader and extension, Safari have now becoming my main browser again. In the past, what holding me back from using Safari as my main browser is extensions, ability to set to always open page as new tab which I find that I can do it with Firefox. But now I have just found out that I can set "always open as new tab" easily from Safari preference. So list of advantages of Firefox over Safari is shorter. In fact, now I think Safari is currently the best browser on Mac (a bit better than Chrome and Firefox) with the following advantages: - 64-bit
- fast java-script performance
- reader
- extensions
- HTML5
- Apple!!
So, until Chome go 64-bit or Firefox with similar features, I will stick with Safari for the time being... |

After using Motorola milestone, an Android phone, for some time, I think I can provide some feed back for those who look at getting one of this.
Pro... - 3G, although, I can use this on newer iPhone, but coming from 1st gen iPhone, I can say that 3G is a blessing. A lot faster than GPRS/Edge, especially, on truemove network. Their GRPS/Edge suck. And I can say that I am lucky, because as an early adopter for unlimited data package, paying 599 Baht/month, since this package is no longer available.
- Higher res. and bigger screen, comparing to 1st gen iPhone or even latest iPhone 3gs, milestone has higher resolution and bigger screen. But it is less than that of upcoming iPhone4. With higher res screen, text and image look nicer, clearer, sharper.
- GPS and offline navigation - although this day all smartphone can do this but again comparing with 1st gen iPhone this is also nice feature to have.
- Openness as you know, android is an open platform, so I can do more thing I want with the phone comparing to iPhone's close platform. But we can also say that there might be a bad thing which I will talk about in the con. section.
Con... - Neatness of user interface is still cannot be compare with iPhone user interface. Android still have some way to go to get to the same level of user friendliness as of iPhone's. Phone's interface, overall OS interface need to improve.
- Stability, as it is more open which is a good thing, it also cause more stability issue. I think closely control environment of iPhone's app ecosystem, do help in this department.
this is all I can think of at the moment, there are more in both section. I will add more as I can remember.

 One of a new feature for Safari 5 is called reader. Look nice and practical for long articles on the web that has multiple pages and lots of advertisement. Regarding the advertisements, it hide all of that. So I guess, advertiser will have to find some way to put their ads on this reader page soon. |

Well, switching a phone from a really user-friendly phone such as an iPhone to more fully customisable one such as an Android is not easy as I think. But looking from what will be available for iPhone 4.0 firmware, I think Android do have a future. And with my iPhone showing its age, it is time to get a new phone. And I choose Android!! More to come about Android usage experience. |

After switching from iPhone (1st gen.) to Android (Motorola Milestone), the new phone that come with auto focus camera. So I got to play with barcode scanner software. To try one, I did create my own QR code (sort of 2d barcode) that have some of my personal information (see below). If you have software on your camera that does barcode scanner, you can try to see what information I have inside. |

อีกครั้งกับการย้ายเวป blog ของตัวเองไปที่ใหม่ คราวนี้ย้ายจาก server ของตัวเองที่ host ด้วย Wordpress CMS เป็น Google Sites เหตุผลมีหลายประการที่ทำให้ต้องตัดสินใจดังนี้ - ประหยัดพลังงาน เนื่องจากเดิมนั้นที่ host บนเครื่องตัวเอง ต้องเปิดเครื่องทิ้งไว้ แม้ว่าการ host บนเครื่องตัวเองจะมีความอ่อนตัวกว่า สามารถลง feature ที่ต้องการได้ แต่เนื่องจากวันเสาร์-อาทิตย์ผมไม่อยู่บ้านเลยต้องปิดเครื่อง server เพื่อประหยัดไฟ และเพื่อความปลอดภัย
- domain "chatprechakul.info" ใช้บริการส่วนใหญ่ของ Google Apps for Domain เช่น e-mail, calendar, documents และหลังจากที่ลองทำเวปไซต์สำหรับช่วยเรื่องการเรียนการสอนโดยใช้ Google Sites แล้วเห็นว่าปัจจุบันใช้งานง่ายขึ้นมาก พอๆกับเวป blog อื่นๆ ที่เป็นที่นิยมเลยทีเดียว และGoogle Sites ยังอ่อนตัวสามารถใช้ domain name ของตัวเองได้ จึงตัดสินใจย้าย blog ส่วนตัวมาใช้ Google Sites แทน
